What is Advocacy?

Advocacy is speaking out on behalf of someone and in the ISPCC we speak on behalf of children in Ireland.

The ISPCC has a long and proud history lobbying and campaigning for, and on behalf of, children and young people in Ireland.

We strongly believe in a nation where children are safeguarded from all forms of exploitation and abuse, and one that protects the rights of children and ensures their voices are heard.

The key issues in terms of advocacy and campaigning are addressed via our ten point plan entitled ‘How can we be sure they’re safe?
