Steps to becoming a volunteer

Steps to becoming a volunteer:
  1. Register your interest with us

  2. Attend a group interview where you will get more information on each service before deciding to apply

  3. Attend a semi-formal individual interview where we will go through your application form in greater detail in a relaxed atmosphere

  4. If you are successful at interview you will be asked to complete a number of important documents, including Garda Vetting (click here to read more about ISPCC vetting policy)

  5. All successful applicants are invited to attend a 17 session training course. This normally runs over an eight week period approximately.

  6. Note:  Participants will not be accepted as full volunteers until a final meeting with their trainer has been carried out to discuss progress.

  7. In the final stages of the training process you will be shadowed by a member of staff as a means of support and guidance

  8. You will then be an ISPCC Volunteer!
