The ISPCC views physical punishment as not just a key human rights issue but also a key child protection issue. We believe the Government must now grasp the opportunity to  introduce legislation and necessary parenting support systems that lay down a clear standard for the way society aspires to treat its children.

The ISPCC is calling for the National Vetting Bureau Act 2012 to be commenced in full as a matter of priority.
