SUMMARY:Padraig Harrington Raises €82\,500 For The ISPCC
DESCRIPTION:Sports fans were treated to a very special event when Irish Golf superstar Padraig Harrington gave an exhibition of golf tips and discussion about his hugely successful career. Padraig’s professional career spans 19 years. He won his first major. The Open Championship in 2007 and the following year was crowned USPGA Champion\, shortly after becoming back-to-back Open Champion. In addition to his three major wins\, Padraig has been a member of the Ryder Cup team six times\, was the winner of the 2006 European Tour Order of Merit\, the winner of the World Cup for Ireland on US soil\, the first Irish winner of the Irish Open for 25 years\, boasts a total of 26 wins worldwide\, and has earned numerous other professional caps for Ireland. Padraig gave some brilliant  instruction across all key aspects of the game from power driving to consistent wedge and bunker play\, chipping and putting on a custom golf pitch designed for the Gaiety Stage. The audience were also treated to a unique insight of how world class golfers perform under pressure using mental tactics. The ISPCC would like to pay a special thanks to Padraig for this incredible support. The sum total of €165\,000 was raised for the ISPCC and the Padraig Harrington Foundation.

DESCRIPTION:Ireland’s Greatest Rugby Player\, Brian O’Driscoll\, was joined by the toast of Irish and International celebrity to recognise the incredible contribution that Brian has made to both club and country during his rugby career. The night was made extra special by Brian’s dedication to supporting Irish Children with all proceeds being raised on the night going to the ISPCC and Temple Street Childrens Hospital. The event raised a whopping €670\,000 for the two charities. Brian has been a wonderful supporter of the ISPCC and we would like to extend a special thanks to Brian for this fantastic support over the years and in particular with the Testimonial dinner. A thronged Convention Centre (pictured below) enjoyed a once in a lifetime night of entertainment\, celebration and reflection on what has been a remarkable career both on and off the field. Thank you Brian from everybody at the ISPCC.
