Gill Waters joined the ISPCC as Director of Fundraising in April 2015, responsible for generating income from individuals, communities, companies, events, campaigns, trusts and foundations.
Gill’s mission is to deliver our Fundraising Strategy, ensuring we generate the voluntary income required to deliver our services and build sustainable income, for the future of the ISPCC.
Gill joined the ISPCC from LauraLynn Children’s Hospice where she held the position of fundraising manager. Previous to this Gill worked as an independent consultant with Aware, Taste of Dublin and was the project manager for Ray D’Arcy’s Half Million Half Marathon in Dublin's Phoenix Park, which raised over €600,000 for LauraLynn.
Gill worked in Today FM for over eight years, in sponsorship and promotions and as communications manager. Gill was the inspiration and driving force behind Today FM’s Shave or Dye Campaign, has raised over €8 million for the Irish Cancer Society. The campaign saw her win multiple radio and marketing awards, break several Guinness World Records and in 2012, Gill was a recipient of the People of the Year Award.
