This year's Cheerios Childline Concert, held on Saturday 12th November, was a massive hit with fans eager to see this year's impressive line-up of stars and what would be Westlife's 12th and final Childline concert.

Westlife band-member Nicky Byrne hosted an amazing line up of acts including Westlife, JLS, The Wanted, Jedward, Cher Lloyd, Parade and Mannequin. Nicky was a fantastic host on the night, prompting the audience by asking if anyone knew the Childline number, only to receive back a thunderous chant of the '1800 66 66 66' number. What an outstanding result!

The event started at 7:30pm and was opened by a lively Cher Lloyd who got things started on a high note. The event also featured The Wanted, who performed their new single 'Lightening', British girl band Parade and Mannequin. Jedward provided a highly energetic and enthusiastic performance, while JLS entertained the crowd by singing a medley of their hits.

The final and much-anticipated performance came from Westlife who delivered an outstanding show singing four hit songs including their new single 'The Lighthouse’. The fans were delighted with the show and Westlife were clearly emotional to perform at the Childline Concert for the very last time.

Childline is absolutely indebted to the amazing Caroline Downey who has produced the show for the past 14 years. The night was a resounding success, raising over €400,000 for Childline.
