Brian O’Driscoll Celebrates Keelings First Irish Strawberries of the Season in support of ISPCC Childline

Brian O’Driscoll was happy to celebrate Keelings first Irish strawberries of the season, in support of ISPCC Childline at Airfield Estate, Dundrum, Dublin 14. This Easter Sunday and Monday, Keelings. Ireland's largest supplier and producer of fresh fruit, is inviting children to attend Airfield Estate as their guests to plant their first Irish strawberry plant.

Little growers can make their way to the Green Barn on the Airfield Estate where they can have lots of fun having their faces painted, watching a magician, and planting their very own strawberry plants!  Meanwhile, the grown-ups can enjoy berry delicious refreshments at the pop-up coffee shop.

David Keeling, CEO Keelings, said; “Childline is an invaluable service that helps children by answering over 1,000 calls every day as well as responding to a huge amount of texts and online contacts.  To cover its costs it has to raise over €3.5million each year, and more than 90% of that comes from donations.  If Childline didn’t exist, may thousands of children living in this country would not have had a listening ear, and that is something we at Keelings feel we have to support.  As a father and a businessman, I am very happy to be able to give something back and hope that our association with ISPCC Childline proves to be very successful for them and their fundraising efforts.”

Caroline O’Sullivan, Director of Services, ISPCC, said: “We are grateful to Keelings for offering us their practical support.  It is great to be able to partner with successful Irish businesses, and the people behind them, who believe in the work we do at the ISPCC.  We have certainly found one such partner in Keelings and look forward to our association with the company into the future”.
