Each year, hundreds of our loyal female supporters from across the country, pull on the red Childline t-shirt and take part in the VHI Women’s Mini-Marathon. As a result they are helping to keep Childline open 24 hours a day, 365 days of the year.

Childline, receives over 400,000 contacts annually from children who have nowhere else to turn. Childline is Ireland’s only 24-hour listening service for children.

Children contact Childline for many reasons – they may be experiencing bullying, feel lonely or anxious or they may just want to talk something through. When children contact the Childline services, they are seeking a listening ear and often feel they have nowhere else to turn.
