ISPCC Supports Tusla’s National Child And Family Support Week

The ISPCC is supporting the Child and Family Agency Tusla’s National Child and Family Support Week, which is taking place from today, Monday September 17th through to Sunday September 23rd.

The week highlights supportive services provided by Tusla, to children and families across the country, through the agency’s Prevention, Partnership and Family Support (PPFS) programme.

The programme, which has been in operation for over three years, aims to help stop problems experienced by children and families from getting worse, or from developing into a crisis.

Services offered under the PPFS include Meitheal, the Parenting24seven.ie website, Parenting Support Champions, Family Resource Centres, Creative Community Alternatives and funding for child, youth participation and parenting projects.

A host of events are taking place across the country to celebrate National Child and Family Support Week.

The ISPCC, as a partner to Tusla, is assisting with the co-ordination of a number of these such events, including a celebration of young people’s participatory groups in Cavan and a vibrant discussion on resilience in 2018 in Monaghan.
