Head of RTÉ 2FM, Dan Healy said – “This is such an important partnership for 2FM and our listeners. The ISPCC has raised huge sums of money through the 2FM Christmas Ball which has not been able to happen over the last two years . The Golden Ticket is a wonderful prize and hopefully next year fields and venues will be filled with music and people. So please, please support the ISPCC by raising much needed funds.”

ISPCC President, Caroline Downey said – “The events of the past two years have tested even the most resilient of children and young people. The introduction of pandemic restrictions was like pressing ‘pause’ on their childhood. Now, many feel as though anxiety stems from every aspect of their lives. They are turning to Childline at all hours of the day and night to tell our volunteers how they feel lonely, frustrated, frightened and upset. For many, it is not possible to go back ‘to normal’. They need to talk – and they need someone to listen to them and believe them.

“While children and young people continue to face difficulties, so too does ISPCC’s ability to raise funds. We are hugely grateful to RTÉ 2FM for their continued support through the phenomenal Golden Ticket competition, which creates an exceptional opportunity for an individual to win tickets to a whole year of the biggest gigs while donating to ISPCC. Every entry will help to make a vital difference for children. Enter, be in with a chance to win an incredible year and you can help to ensure no child or young person has to go it alone this Christmas or beyond. Thank you!”

Help fund the vital work that ISPCC and its Childline services do every day and help make sure every child and young person always has someone to listen.

The ISPCC’s Childline services are always there to listen to, support and empower children. They rely on donations for 75 per cent of the funding needed to keep them available to every child and young person, all year round.

The Childline Listening Service receives almost 200,000 online contacts, calls and texts from children and young people every year. The service is open 24-hours a day, including Christmas day.

Entering this fantastic competition only costs €4. Last year’s Golden Ticket competition raised more than €50,000 for ISPCC.
