ISPCC Childline is calling on runners across the country and beyond to make a difference for children and young people this October, by taking part in the KBC Virtual Dublin Marathon or one of the KBC Virtual Race Series distances.

Sign up here and let us know by calling 1850 50 40 50 or emailing [email protected].

The annual October Bank Holiday weekend race event, which is synonymous with Dublin’s and Ireland’s sporting calendar, has been re-imagined for the current times and is now urging runners and athletes to smash their goal by completing their run in their local area and capturing their official time.

The KBC Dublin Marathon raises a hugely significant €9 million for charity every year. Participants who take part on behalf of ISPCC Childline raise vital funds which help to make sure every child and young person in Ireland always has somewhere they can turn.

Whether you choose to run four miles, 10km, a half-marathon or full marathon distance for ISPCC Childline, you will be helping to share a sense of hope with children who seek support.

Childline answers up to 1,000 online contacts, calls and texts every day from children and young people who turn to the service for support in relation to issues including abuse and violence, mental health, suicide, self-harm and more.

Sign up to take part in this year’s virtual KBC Dublin Marathon or KBC Virtual Race Series online here and then call or email the Childline fundraising team on 1850 50 40 50 or [email protected].

We’d love to see how you get on! If you like – and have the permission of everyone featured – why not share your photographs or videos to social media and tag ISPCC Childline?

Good luck!
