Lap and Chat for Childline 2026
This March we would love to invite children and teens to take part in Childline’s Lap & Chat Campaign—a wellbeing focused initiative created to help young people look after their mental health through simple peer-to-peer connection.
Walking, talking and sharing, after all a problem shared is a problem halved!
How Your School Can Do A Lap and Chat for Childline
You’ll kick things off with a friendly wellbeing workshop from Childline. We will be engaging with your students to get them thinking about any worries or stresses they may be feeling.
After that, they simply team up with a buddy and head off for a few laps around the yard, school grounds, or in your local area. As they stroll, encourage them to chat openly about whatever’s been bothering them—and remind them to lend an ear to their friend’s worries too.
Once they return, each student gets their very own reflection workbook—just for them. Like a private diary after their Lap and Chat, it gives them space to explore their thoughts a bit more and reflect on how talking things out can help make them feel lighter.
