Your Question
Who can I talk to about my mental health as a parent? I’m finding everything very tough at the moment, trying to balance work, which I need to do, but then finding time for my kids who are 5 & 7. I feel guilty for leaving them before they’re up in the morning, and getting home at their bedtime. I can just about manage to read it bedtime story. Thanks for your help.
Answer
Hello, and welcome
Hi, thanks for getting in touch with your question. It sounds like you’ve been juggling a lot, and it’s completely understandable to feel overwhelmed when trying to balance work, parenting, and everything in between. Feeling guilty about not having much time or energy for your children at the end of the day is something that many parents can relate to, you are not alone there. Please know that the love and care you show, even in small ways like reading a story at night, truly matter. Those little moments of connection often mean far more to children than we realise.
