VHI Women's Mini Marathon For Childline by ISPCC Dublin, Sunday 5th June 2022

Childline by ISPCC is calling on women across the nation to step up for children on Sunday, 5th June 2022 and walk, jog or run their way towards helping to make sure Childline is always here to listen.

The Vhi Women’s Mini Marathon returns to Dublin to celebrate their 40th Anniversary Event!

The annual 10k charity road race, occurs each June bank holiday weekend in Dublin and is the largest Women’s event of its kind in the world.

Childline, Ireland’s 24-hour active listening service for children and young people, relies on public donations for over 75 per cent of its funding. It is hugely grateful for the generous support it traditionally receives.

Vital volunteers in the Childline units at Penrose Quay in Cork, O’Connell Street in Limerick, Baggot Street in Dublin, Castlebar in Mayo, Headford Road in Galway and Dyer Street in Drogheda give of their time to answer online contacts, calls and texts from children and young people who turn to Childline in relation to issues including abuse and violence, mental health difficulties and school life.

Nationally, the service – which is free to contact, confidential and non-judgmental – receives over 5,000 contacts every week.

To help ensure Childline is always here to listen to children across Ireland, ladies can now register to take part in this year’s Vhi Women’s Mini Marathon.
