With all the changes this year has brought, the VHI Women’s Mini Marathon has been re-imagined and is now coming to your home, your community, your street, village or town, this October.

Childline is calling on women the length and breadth of Ireland and beyond to don their running shoes, step up for children and young people and take on 10km, their way, between 1st – 10th October.

Whether you choose to walk or run, take on the full 10km altogether, do 1km on each of the 10 days, or whatever takes your fancy, you can help make sure Childline is always here for every child and young person in Ireland 24 hours a day, every day.

During the peak period of Covid-19 restrictions, public generosity facilitated Childline to answer over 72,000 online contacts, calls and texts from children and young people who turned to the service for support in relation to issues including abuse and violence, mental health, suicide, self-harm and more.

Children and young people will continue to face challenges as Ireland re-builds and recovers following Covid-19. You can help make sure they will always have somewhere they can turn for support.

Sign up to take part in this year’s virtual VHI Women’s Mini Marathon online here and then call or email the Childline fundraising team on 1850 50 40 50 or [email protected].

We’d love to see how you get on! If you like – and have the permission of everyone featured – why not share your photographs or videos to social media and tag ISPCC Childline?

Good luck!
