Childline by ISPCC is calling on women across the nation to step up for children on Sunday 4th June 2023 and walk, jog or run their way towards helping to make sure Childline is always here to support children and families across Ireland.

The annual Vhi Women’s Mini Marathon 10k charity road race, occurs each June bank holiday weekend in Dublin and is the largest Women’s event of its kind in the world.

Childline is a national charity dedicated to enhancing the lives of children and young people, they are at the heart of everything we do. Our mission is to listen to children, empower them, strengthen their resilience, and enable them to live their best possible lives. Childline is available at any time, 24/7, it’s the largest children’s support service available. We are always on, always here, whenever a child needs to get in touch, and however they find that safest and easiest.

Vital volunteers in the Childline units at Penrose Quay in Cork, O’Connell Street in Limerick, Baggot Street in Dublin, Castlebar in Mayo, Headford Road in Galway and Dyer Street in Drogheda give of their time to answer online contacts, calls and texts from children and young people who turn to Childline in relation to issues including abuse and violence, mental health difficulties and school life.

Our vision is that every child and young person in Ireland has access to the relevant supports to afford them the opportunity to reach their full potential.

We raise up to 75% of our overall income through generous supporters like you. Events like the Vhi Women’s Mini Marathon play a big part in how we can ensure any child that needs support can access it.
