Caroline O’Sullivan, Director of Services

Caroline is the ISPCC’s Director of Services, with responsibility for ensuring the provision of high quality, accessible child-centred services to children and families across the country.

Caroline began working with the ISPCC as a volunteer in 1992 and joined the staff team in 1996.

She has worked in various roles during this time and has been Director of Services since 2007.  Prior to joining the ISPCC, Caroline worked as a social worker, youth worker and community development worker within both the statutory and voluntary sector. Caroline was seconded from the ISPCC to the National Children’s Office to establish and run the first Dáil na nÓg, was later appointed to the National Children’s Advisory Council and following this onto the National Advisory Council for Better Outcomes, Brighter Futures, the national policy framework for children and young people.

Caroline was the voluntary sector representative on the Garda Vetting Implementation Committee, a member of the Board of the Children’s Rights Alliance for seven years and is currently a member of the Tusla National Commissioning Working Group.
